TMJ Disorders (Temporomandibular Joint Dysfuntion)

Treatment generally involves relaxing the muscles used for chewing.  We accomplish this by the use of various kinds of splints.  These dental appliances are custom designed to help your particular needs.  They are wonderful diagnostic tools to help both of us discover the complexity of your bite and what we need to do to alleviate the pain.  Once we have determined the cause we can move on to the definitive treatment.
